As the Colts and Saints were punching their tickets to Miami for Super Bowl XLIV yesterday, a South Florida company was already hard at work churning out the apparel that you’ll soon see all over town.
Atlas Embroidery in Fort Lauderdale makes the official merch for the big game, and as the Vikings atarted fumbling away last night’s game in New Orleans, their presses started going to work.
The company will make five different designs for Reebok and Adidas for both the Por Bowl and the Super Bowl. The massive operation will be making merch all week, and already had manufactured thousands by this morning.
“We’ve been spinning our presses since the end of the AFC Championship game,” said Atlas’ Adam Cohen, whose company has been making the official gear for three years. “It’s great for local economy and great for our 60 employees.”
The gear will be available at airports, hotels, gift shops and just about anywhere you can think of in South Florida. And all that Jets gear goes to a very worth cause.
