For the first time, Atlas has given at the “Producer” level, making them one of the premier sponsors of the Exceptional Theatre Company (ETC). “We couldn’t be more proud to team up with Atlas this year. Like our actors, they are considered one of our shining stars,” exclaimed Executive Director of ETC, Debbie Lombard.

Atlas has generously donated t-shirts in various colors for the actors, instructors, shadows, and friends of ETC. “This organization provides the opportunity to those with disabilities in the community to shine on the stage. There is nothing more fulfilling then to attend their shows, overcome all obstacles… and of course, see them wear their ETC shirts”, says Mitchell Lombard, Owner and President.

Exceptional Theatre Company (ETC), a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization is recognized by the Very Special Arts (VSA) of Florida as an innovative theater arts program for persons with disabilities and part of the Broward County Community Schools and the School Enrichment in Arts and Science (SEAS) Program. The class teaches techniques in improvisations, movement and music to over 300 children, adults and seniors with developmental and physical disabilities weekly. The program enhances verbal skills, improves movement, builds self-confidence, and advances socialization while stimulating free thinking. Each individual class provides a setting for inclusion with the involvement of the entire community as volunteers; mostly high school students receiving community service hours. The volunteers also known as shadows; work along with the special needs students on and off the stage.

ETC will be performing at the Best Buddies Walk-A-Thon on March 26, 2011 at TY Park in Hollywood and at the Autism Speaks Walk-A-Ton on April 9, 2011 at Nova Southeastern University in Davie.
